HAL KAYE - PHOTOGRAPHER

Photographer Hal Kaye had spent 35 years seeking out exotic and beautiful images around the globe. Here he presents a collection based on the digital photography of four on-going series.

A native of South Beach, Florida, Kaye opened his first studio in 1947 during the first heyday of the Miami Beach "scene". Specializing in fashion and advertising, he also photographed the many entertainers who played the nightclubs of Miami Beach. His work appeared in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Mademoiselle, Glamour; and on behalf of clients for advertising agencies in New York, Chicago, and Miami; also tourist and trade publications throughout Florida, and in the Caribbean and Latin America.

After trying retirement, and failing, Kaye turned to photographing the orchids and roses he had been growing. In 1990 he discovered the world of digital photography. Kaye's work has gone totally digital since 1992. He shoots and processes his images on professional digital equipment, and creates his own hand-signed inkjet prints, using archival inks, on paper specially treated forartistic digital applications.

Each image sheet size is 19” x 13”, hand-signed.

Image size is 12"W. by the length determined by the composition. They are printed on archival paper using archival inks.
